description Croft State Natural Area, is located five miles southeast of Spartaburg off of Highway 56. This 7,053 acre site was once a U.S. Army Infantry Replacement Training Center known as Camp Croft during World War II. Today it is used for diverse recreational opportunities including camping, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and equestrian facilities, and picnic shelters.
drivingDirection Croft is located five miles southeast of Spartanburg off SC 56 on Dairy Ridge Road. From I-26: take exit 22, go east on Hwy. 296. for approximately one mile, turn onto Hwy. 295 until it intersects with Hwy 56. Turn right onto Hwy. 56, then take a left at Dairy Ridge Rd. and follow signs.

importantInformation Arriving campers must have camping equipment and be prepared to set up on site. Pets are allowed, but must be leashed at all times. Horses are not allowed in campground. Trail users must remain on designated trails. Use of metal detectors is prohibited. Please contact the park to reserve ADA (Disabled Access) Standard and Full Service sites. Horses are not allowed in the campground area and customers must arrange for a horse stall (up to 4 available per reservation) for the duration of their stay.
